Client & Brief

Animal Planet, is a 21-year-old brand that celebrates the entire spectrum of life in the animal kingdom. It offers exclusive access to immersive, engaging & high-quality information related to the natural world. In recent years, growing with audience sensibilities, their content had changed from being action and danger driven to being more empathetic and sensitive. Their current communication was not in sync with this evolved philosophy and programming slate.

Approach

We were called in to rebrand Animal Planet India, announcing the new Brand proposition that “Animals are like Humans”, thereby evoking empathy among audiences. We proposed an edgy, unusual theme using opposing qualities, but built around the idea of a “common ground”; what humans and animals share in common.

Outcome

The brand refresh aligned the visual design system with their content; creating an energetic, brave yet tender, new Animal Planet.
